North Idaho AEYC Week of the Young Child 2013

Children's Art Shows at:

  • Athol Community Library
  • The Kroc Center
  • The Coeur d'Alene Public Library
  • North Idaho College Library
  • Hayden Community Library
  • Post Falls Community Library
  • Priest River Community Library
  • Coeur d'Alene Tribe Wellness Center
  • Rathdrum Community Library
  • Kellogg Community Library
Most shows are running for the entire month. Kroc, North Idaho College, and Coeur d'Alene Tribe will run during the WOYC April 14th-20th.

Tour of Centers on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am to 1 pm:

Four vans will take 4 groups to see 4 different child care facilities. There will be a guided discussion on quality indicators in child care and lunch will be provided. Individuals will also receive 4 training hours.

Call for Presentation Proposals - Fall Conference 2013

Proposal Deadline: Applications are due by April 5th.

Theme: "Play: Where Learning Begins!"
Who: North Idaho AEYC is looking for presenters to provide sessions for infant/toddler, preschool and school age early childhood professionals!

The theme is "Play: Where Learning Begins!" and the keynote speaker is Jeff Johnson http://www.jeffajohnson.com/. North Idaho AEYC is looking for presenters to provide sessions for infant/toddler, preschool and school age early childhood professionals. This year's conference will offer hours for IdahoSTARS, Washington STARS and CEU's. With the addition of CEU's, there will be a professional track targeted at those who work with children birth to age 8. The conference date is Saturday, October 19th at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Presenters can choose either a 1.25 hour session and/or a 2 hour session. The conference will have a total of 3, 1.25 hour sessions and 1, 2 hour session. Presenters will receive a $100 honorarium for session they present. Please share this information with potential presenters!




North Idaho AEYC needs its members to make events successful and meaningful. We need your help in 2013! We plan to continue the Week of the Young Child Events which will be held during the month of April, 2013. NIAEYC is also planning an even bigger conference for October 18-19, 2013 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort with room for 300!!!

We still have a board position open for Secretary, please feel free to come to a meeting to check us out! Here is a list of the upcoming 2012-2013 Meetings which are held at Panhandle Health District in Hayden at 8500 N. Atlas Rd. (We do offer the option to call in to these meetings, contact us for the number!)
