Affiliate Goals:
Provide meaningful information and resources to early childhood educators and the community concerning best practices in educating and caring for young children. This includes offering conferences, trainings, and supporting the Week of the Young Child.

Activities (past, current, projected):
Each year SRAEYC holds four board meetings. Our next board meeting will be held October 3rd at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the CSI Preschool Lab located at 246 Falls Ave. For information on meetings please call Jennifer Patterson at 732-6884.

The Snake River Association for the Education of Young Children's Fall Conference will be held Saturday, November12th, from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, at the College of Southern Idaho. This year we are pleased to present Jennifer Ward. Jennifer Ward is a former educator who now writes full time. She is the author of numerous books including Way Out in the Desert, Somewhere in the Ocean, Over in the Garden, I Love Dirt!, Let's Go Outside! Outdoor Activities and Projects to Get You and Your Kids Closer to Nature, and many more. This conference will be filled with exciting information. Topics will include: the importance of immersing young children in nature, inquiry inside and outside of the classroom, and100 nature resources. February 25th, we will be hosting our first of two Make-it and Take-it trainings. The training will be held at the CSI Preschool Lab located at 246 Falls Ave. from 10:00-12:00. These trainings provide a short presentation concerning early childhood topics and then offer early childhood educators an opportunity to make items that can be used in their work with young children.
