Welcome!

Our Mentor/Coaching program is designed to benefit children by supporting child care providers in centers and homes across Idaho.

Think Big with the Mentor / Coach Program

We are supporting child care providers in homes and centers throughout Idaho with projects big and small. We have qualified mentor/coaches waiting to help you succeed.

It's easy!

Ask Yourself:   If I could get expert help with anything in my child care business, what would that be? Would I like an expert to:

  •  Help me market my program?
  •  Advise me on how to create a network for parent involvement and support?
  •  Create or revise a business plan?
  •  Evaluate my classroom environment?
  •  Work with me on issues involving health and safety?
  •  Offer ideas on lesson planning?
  •  Offer ideas on a particular emphasis like science or literacy?
  •  Help me write or revise program policies and procedures?

Ask Us:   Dial 2-1-1 and ask to speak with the Quality Child Care Consultant/Regional Mentor in your region or with Julaine Ziegert, Director of the MECE project. Tell us about your dream project. We have different types of mentor/coaches available to meet with you weekly, monthly or even just once, depending on the project you have in mind. Individual contracts are set up between child care providers and qualified mentor / coaches, depending on what you need. It is so easy! Mentoring scholarships are available and your cost is only hard work and commitment!

Why Not?   Take advantage of this great opportunity today. If you are registered in IdahoSTARS Professional Development System, call today. If you are not registered, dial 2-1-1 and ask for the Regional Quality Child Care Consultant in your region to begin the process.

Never doubt that a
small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can
change the world: indeed,
it's the only thing that ever has.
