Amy Costello is passionate about advancing early education in Idaho. At work, she shares impact stories, connects with corporate partners, and raises financial support for education programming and advocacy. Amy has over 20 years of experience in philanthropy development both as a private foundation advisor and development officer. Amy sees herself as the bridge that links individuals, corporations and foundations to purpose and mission, to address critical needs within the community. Amy grew up in Idaho and loves the great outdoors. Her family includes two curious boys, a creative partner, and a crazy Australian Cattle Dog. Amy describes herself as a mother, wife, adventurer, traveler, and philanthropist.
Amy’s strong work ethic, strength and determination come from her father, who ran his own business while raising a family single-handedly. Her passion for helping others comes from mentors who led by example and introduced her to both urban and international experiences in her youth. Her connection to nature comes from the years growing up in Idaho in the great outdoors.
Amy sees her role as the bridge that links individuals, corporations and foundations with purpose and mission, while serving the critical needs within the community. She has over 20 years of experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management, working in Idaho and California. She has served as a foundation advisor, philanthropy consultant, development director, grant writer, event coordinator and many other roles.
Offering Idaho's future children with the support and quality care that they need to develop early learning is important to Amy. As a mother, she understands the important role she plays as her children's teacher, and she strongly values the support of quality professionals as caregivers and educators. She is excited to support the vision of Idaho AEYC, which is that all children thrive wherever they grow and learn.
