Rachel Flachbart Sladek serves as the Director of Development at Idaho AEYC. Rachel oversees securing resources for Idaho AEYC so we can continue to do the vital work we do. Rachel grew up in Boise, ID and attended Bishop Kelly High School followed by attending college at College of Idaho. She graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts having majored in history, and completing minors in Spanish, education, and natural sciences. While pursuing her undergraduate degree Rachel interned with political officials, a nonprofit organization, and out in Washington D.C. After graduating from college Rachel moved back out to Washington D.C. where she worked for US Congress.

Rachel moved back to Boise in 2015 and since then has worked in education, digital marketing, and nonprofits. She previously worked in development at CATCH and Bishop Kelly High School. She is actively involved in Boise Young Professionals and is the Executive Chair Elect for 2023. She has been recognized in 2022 as part of Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished under 40 and in 2020 was awarded Boise Young Professional’s Outreach Team Member of the Year. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, being outdoors with her husband and their dog, Blair, and taking Peloton classes. Rachel is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that shaped her into the person she is today.
